Personal notes taken by yours truly from the textbook and lecture notes from the Professor Margaret Lyles at Florida A&M University. These notes can be used if the student does not have the textbook, as summary of the chapter, and a supplement for previous documents uploaded. By purchasing all the materials in the series the student will have a in depth knowledge on the subject.

This document is a handwritten note copy that is suppose to give information about the reasoning behind some of the answers in the Mastering Chemistry online homework. I would suggest purchasing both pages.

This document is the continuation of the handwritten notes for the chemistry mastery question and lecture notes provided by Professor Lyles at Florida A&M University.

Chapter 1 of Tro's Chemistry (4th Edition) goes through Chemistry basics, moving from 1.1: Atoms and Molecules to 1.8: Solving Chemical Problems. By using these notes, outlined from the textbook, and adding on to them with notes from class, I received an A in General Chemistry 1. The notes are color coded to make them easier to read - chapter headings are boxed in red, vocabulary is highlighted in gray, and additional class notes are added in blue ink in the margins.

I have uploaded the solutions to the practice problems from Assignment 1 of the course as well as the 2 lab report outlines.
