The Niger delta is a location that is characterized by disequilibrium compaction and one way to predict pore pressure under such condition is by the Eaton's model as against the Bower's which will overestimate the prediction. Pore pressure is done to avoid geohazards such as blowout, well kicks, lost circulation etc.
