The traditional criminal justice system is limited in its efficacy and one of the major inhibitions on the ability of the criminal justice system to bring people to justice is the issue of jurisdiction. This answer will therefore determine at both domestic and international levels whether jurisdiction exists in a criminal matter, whilst analyzing the various legal principles utilized to establish jurisdiction.
