A. How Implementing a Professional Growth Plan Can Improve
Instructional Practice
As an educator I feel it is my responsibility to have a growth mindset and
continually strive to improve my teaching practices. Implementing a
professional growth plan would enable me to consistently evaluate my
successes and challenges as a teacher and make necessary adjustments. This
growth plan would ensure that I remain current with the latest research-based
practices to address both the academic and non-academic needs of my students.
B. One Nonacademic Need
One nonacademic need that my students have is the ability to self-regulate.
Self-regulation helps them maintain focus on the task at hand, ensuring they are
engaging with the learning objectives rather than getting distracted by the
activity itself.
