Microsoft Strategic Management
Strategic management is defined as administrative and cross-functional decisions and actions that defines an organization's lasting performance and attain a sustainable competitive advantage . Strategic management is a destination as it is an integrated and comprehensive action plan that bridges the gap between where an organization is and where it wants to be. It is an evolution as it is a continuous process that gauges a corporation against its competitors, sets goals and strategies to stay above the competition, and reassesses its strategic plan systematically to determine its effectiveness. In essence, it follows the four phases of strategic management.
