At the beginning of the poem, the wind is portrayed as more powerful due to its unpredictability and the fact that the trees are almost breaking due to its force. The clouds at the beginning of the poem is said to be dark and full at water but at the end of the
poem, it is more powerful than the wind as it releases lighting and the harsh rain.

Simile: just as how a plague of locusts causes the sky to become dark and that they will destroy any crops below, so too will the wind bring the clouds together causing the sky to become dark and the wind's unpredictability will bring about destruction below.
