Each security agency which employs security officers shall: - -- answer --transmit
to the Mayor, no later than the 15th day of January
, Uniforms - -- answer --white uniform cap or cap covered with a white cap cover
and a uniform outer garment, such as a shirt, blouse, jacket, or overcoat, badges
and patches clearly visible at all times.
Badges, Patches, and Emblems - -- answer --1. None shall wear or carry a metal
or metallic-appearing badge
2. A cloth badge worn on the left breast is permitted if the prior written
permission is obtained
3. Notwithstanding the corporate name of the agency, the words "police", "united
states", and "district of Columbia", or abbreviations of those words, and the seals
or insignias shall not be used.
4. "INSPECTOR" shall not appear.
Following requirements for badges, patches, and emblems - -- answer --1.
shoulder be Red in color, name of the employer written in white clear letters
2. Name of employer should be spelled out completely
3. Initials not allowed, abbreviations only with permission of Mayor
4. patches may bear employers insignia only approved by Mayor
5. Patches shall be of half moon design
6. Patches shall be 3 inches high by 5 inches wide
7. Shall be worn on each top
8. "security Officer" on the right breast ( 4 1/2 inches long and 1 inch high)

background check.
