Dehiscence – separation of layers of surgical wound a. May be partial, superficial, or a complete disruption of the surgical wound 8. Evisceration – protrusion (lump/bump) of viscera (internal organs) through an incision Elimination (Urinary) Terms: Regular urine output 800-2000ml 1. Anuria – technically no urine voided • 24-hour urine output is <100mL 2. Dysuria – difficulty voiding • May or may not be associated with pain 3. Glycosuria – presence of sugar in urine 4. Nocturia – excessive urination during the night 5. Oliguria – scanty or greatly diminished amount of urine voided in a given time 6. Polyuria – excessive output of urine (diuresis) 7.
