Group 4 Section A3ABSTRACT: The purpose of this lab is to detect the presence of lipids, carbohydrates, proteins and nucleic acids in various compounds by performing different tests. Another aspect of this lab is to understand the importance of control in biochemical tests. MATERIALS: White onion juice, SPANISH onion juice, potato juice, sucrose solution, glucose solution, distilled water, reducing sugar solution, starch solution, egg albumin (BSA), honey, amino acid solution (Glycine), protein solution, vegetable oil, known lipid solution, WHITE grape juice (MUST BE WHITE), test tubes, pipette, pen and a piece of paper. Hot Plate 1/Bench with 500mL Beaker (300mL of Tap H20)
