◉What aspects of the FA job differ from other customer service jobs?
Answer: Customer Services jobs are all on the same home base, they
have the best interest of the customer in mind. Now this extends to the
job as a FA as well but as a FA you are always responsible for your
passengers safety. You have taken an oath to provide the most
comfortable and assisted flight as well as the most safe.
◉You will be asked to move to one of our crew bases in a major
metropolitan city.
How will you prepare for the move and starting a new life in a new city?
Answer: - Personal life will afford flexibility
- Took appropriate steps to effectively prepare all areas of your life for
your time away so you could focus on your future job as a FA.
◉Describe a situation that you handled that should normally be handled
by a
supervisor or someone else and how the situation was resolved. Answer:
Customer complaints are inevitable. If your part of a business that sells
to the public no matter how great your goods or services are the old
, adage will eventually be proven true: You cannot please 100% of the
people 100% of the time.
Working at Delucas I encountered an extremely upset customer.
Typically, I would have my supervisor come to attend this customer and
address his/her needs but in this specific circumstance my supervisor
was no where to be found. Instead of telling this customer to wait and
increase his irritation I decided to handle the situation myself. I have
learned the first step in handling any complaint is to listen. This
particular customer was dining by himself for dinner. He had placed his
order and some odd minutes later still not recieved it. He went up to the
person in front and inquired about his order, they said it would be out
momentarily. Some while later he asked again and he was given the
same response. Now finally after waiting an unreasonable amount of
time he found his way to me. He was outraged of how he was just
pushed aside and forgotten, I listened to his complaint and what he
thought would be a proper amends. Once I had listened and understood I
offered a solution. I showed him great sympathy and understood where
he was coming from. I suggested a means of compensation of a treat on
the house or a next visit coupon. After some time of talking he calmed
down and realized the situation was based off misunderstanding and
nothing personal to him. He took the next visit coupon and left with a
smile saying "Thanks, I'll see you next time".
