and Translation – Merged Question Paper & Mark Scheme
Exam Resource Summary
This June 2025 Edexcel A Level Spanish 9SP0/01 document merges the official question
paper and mark scheme for Paper 1: Listening, Reading and Translation. It evaluates
candidates’ comprehension of spoken and written Spanish across contemporary social,
cultural and political themes drawn from the specification. Section A covers listening
comprehension tasks, Section B focuses on reading comprehension from authentic Spanish
texts, and Section C requires precise translation of a passage from Spanish into English. The
merged format provides both assessment content and examiner guidance in a single file,
illustrating how marks are awarded for accuracy, inference, and idiomatic understanding.
This integrated paper-and-scheme resource is ideal for students seeking structured exam
practice, insight into examiner expectations, and targeted revision support for the 2025
Edexcel A Level Spanish Paper 1 examination.
