The cornerstone of capitalist thinking was the right of the individual to
liberty this meant that every citizen should have equal opportunities
but not necessarily equal outcomes
This was also based on free market economics that enabled the
exchange of goods with minimal government intervention

alliance was formed with Britain, the USSR and the USA
There were already tensions at Yalta due to soviets freeing the eastern
European countries thanks to the 2nd front in France and tending to
keep those countries occupied
