not like the yelling so the yelling is the undesirable stimulus that stops the undesirable behavior

negative punishment - Answers removal of a desired stimulus immediately following a behavior
that results in a decrease of that behavior
-something the client likes is removed after the client demonstrates a challenging or negative
behavior. when the client does something bad, the SLP takes something away in hopes of
decreasing the occurrence of the bad behavior
differential reinforcement - Answers -occurs when a specific response is reinforced and another
specific response is not reinforced
-used to increase a desired behavior and to simultaneously decrease and undesired behavior
-Sometimes, we want to ignore a behavior because we don't want to reinforce it, acknowledge it,
or perpetuate it. we don't want an undesirable or challenging behavior to increase or occur.
SLPs decide to ignore those behaviors and not provide any reinforcement.
