Cfl - Answers Coordinated firing line. Surface to surface may fire at any time without need for
coordination
FSCL - Answers Fire Support Coordnation Line. Applies to all fires. Forces attacking beyond line
must inform all affected commanders.
BCL - Answers Battlefield Coordination Line. Purpose is to allow air to attack surface targets
without approval of the GCE CMDR in the area.
FFA - Answers Free-fire area. Any weapon system may fire without any coordination.
RFL - Answers Restrictive fire line. Established between two converging friendly forces that
prohibits fires across it without coordination.
NFA - Answers No fire area. Area onto which no fires nor effects are allowed. Exception taking
fire from there or headquarters approves it
RFA - Answers Restrictive fire area. Area in which h specific firing restrictions are imposed, can't
fire unless coordinated.
ACA - Answers Airspace Coordination Area. A three dimensional block of airspace in which
friendly aircraft are reasonably safe from friendly surface fires.
Type 1 - Answers JTAC must visually acquire the attacking aircraft and the target.
Type 2 - Answers *unable to see aircraft at weapon realease
*JTAC unavle to acquire target
Type 3 - Answers Clearance for multiple attacks within a single emgagment.
BOC - Answers Aircraft and or dance employing on a specified coordinate. Aircraft are not
required to tally target. Advantage, aircraft not exposed to threat, time not water getting aircraft
tally on target.
BOT - Answers Self derived targeting. Continous target observation by aircraft.
