material. You are however not allowed to copy verbatim from your
study material. You should provide answers in your own words. In the
case of any cheating or plagiarism no mark will be allocated.
• The exam can be downloaded on 25 January 2024 and must be
uploaded by 25 January 2024. Should you complete your exam before
the official completion time, please commence the uploading of your
exam answer file immediately, do not wait for the session to conclude.
• The system will close at 18:45 on 25 January 2024 (South African
time) and all late submissions will be rejected. NO LATE EXAM
ANSWER FILES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
• We prefer that you type your exam answers and then upload your exam
answer file as a single PDF document on the myExams platform.
Incorrect answer scripts and/or submissions made on unofficial
examinations platforms will not be marked and no opportunity
will be granted for resubmission.
• The exam answer file must be uploaded as a PDF electronic document
and not as a scanned image. Do not password-protect your PDF file or
upload as “read only” file. Incorrect file format and uncollated answer
scripts will not be considered. Ensure that you scan all the pages in the
correct order.
• Insert page numbers in your answer script.
, • Students must complete the online declaration of their work when
submitting their examination script. Students suspected of dishonest
conduct during the examinations will be subjected to disciplinary
processes. Students may not communicate with any other person or
request assistance from any other person during their examinations.
The use of Telegram, WhatsApp or any other instant messaging
services with any other person (except when asking for technical
assistance via official channels of the SCSC or the Invigilator
WhatsApp line) are strictly prohibited. Plagiarism is a violation of
academic integrity and students who plagiarise, copy from published
work or use Artificial Intelligence Software (e.g., ChatGPT) or online
sources (e.g., course material)will be in violation of the Policy on
Academic Integrity and the Student Disciplinary Code and may be
referred to a disciplinary hearing. Unisa has a zero tolerance for
plagiarism and/or any other forms of academic dishonesty.
• Steps to submit your exam file:
1. When ready to submit, open the Take-Home assessment again and
click on the Add Submission button.
2. Note the file requirements such as:
a. File size limit.
b. Number of files that can be submitted.
c. File formats allowed.
Note: MS Word documents need to be saved as PDF documents,
and paper-based answers must be scanned into a combined PDF
document.
3. Check the acknowledgment checkbox and upload your answers
document and then click on the Save changes button.
4. Review your submission information regarding the status and click
on your submission file link to check if it's correct
5. If you need to resubmit a file, you can click on the Edit Submission
button. Note: You will need to delete any existing files.
