A1. Education in my family has always been an important concept. I have Doctors,
Lawyers, Nurses and Veterinarians in my family, so we take education seriously. This
contributes to my teaching styles because I stress the importance of getting an
education with my students. I try to keep them informed on how the real-world
works. If you don’t want to struggle for everything you have, go to college, get a
degree and put it to work. Unfortunately, it's hard to find a high paying job without
any education.
A2. Values were another important concept to my family. “You are whom you surround
yourself with, the famous line from my grandmother, Nancy Helveston. Who you
surround yourself with says something about you. If you associate with people who
continuously get into trouble, you will get put into the same category as your
friends. Same thing with family, if you are constantly put with a bad egg, you get
rotten too. I always instruct my students to think about what they’re going to do
before they do it. Think about it, is this something that is going to benefit me or is
