My Human Resource Management (HRM) study is on professional sports and
entertainment. The study is on the National Basketball Association (NBA), a professional
basketball league in the United States. The NBA is one of the world's most popular and
competitive professional sports leagues. Professional sports and entertainment are two of
America's most popular sectors (Ulas, 2021). These are also two of the most competitive sectors
on the planet. Organizations have a well-managed and effective human resource department to
be successful in various industries. To be successful, National Basketball Association (NBA) in
the United States must have well-managed human resources departments. The HR department is
responsible for various tasks, including recruiting and hiring new employees, managing
employee benefits and compensation, and developing and implementing employee training and
