1 Aardolie

Gefractioneerde destillatie:
 De eerste stap bij verwerking ruwe olie
 Scheiden van ruwe aardolie in 7 fracties
(residu, zware destillaten, gasolie, kerosine, nafta, benzine en gas)
 Fracties bevatten allemaal koolwaterstoffen = CxHy
 Samenstelling vd fracties:
-toenemend aantal koolstofatomen (hoe groter molecuul, hoe groter de
vanderwaals krachten)
- toenemend kookpunt
 Meeste fracties worden gebruikt als brandstof


Nafta = oa gebruikt voor productie van grondstoffen voor kunststof, cosmetica
en medicijnen

Benzine en diesel = niet direct geschikt als brandstof > diverse bewerkingen oa
ontzwaveling zodat het minder schadelijk is voor milieu. Ook worden
additieven toegevoegd waardoor betere verbranding

Biobrandstoffen
- Aardolie is een niet hernieuwbare grondstof = raakt op
- Hernieuwbare grondstoffen zoals bijv suikerriet = geoogst maar ook
weer opnieuw geplant zodat het weer opnieuw wordt aangemaakt
- Biomassa = plataardige grondstoffen.
Als je deze verwerkt tot brandstoffen = biobrandstof

 CnH2n+2
 Verzadigde koolwaterstoffen = elk koolstofatoom heeft maximale aantal
(waterstof) verbindingen
 Bijv methaan, ethaan, butaan
