Introduction
I work for an in-office medical coding department that has been struggling with worker
retention, high revenue cycle management costs, and low worker morale. Meanwhile, most of
the employees have been pushing for more remote work opportunities for better work/life
balance. Management is currently split when it comes to implementing remote work because
while they recognize that allowing for it would aid in addressing the above concerns, they have
been wary of it due to the potential for decreased engagement in an environment where the
employees cannot be consistently monitored. Therefore, the target audience for this proposal are
the managers for my medical coding department. The purpose of this report is to show them that
remote work can be implemented while maintaining employee engagement. Worker engagement
can be established in a remote work environment by utilizing existing software applications and
