, COMPILING A WORK PLAN: WHY INFORMATION LITERACY IS ESSENTIAL IN
AN INFORMATION SOCIETY.

MAIN TOPIC: discuss why information literacy is essential in an information society
KEY WORDS: information literacy
Action words: discuss
AUDIANCE: lecture
FORM: academic essay

My thoughts
 The topic requires me to discuss why information literacy is essential in an
information society this means I have to discuss in facts the value or
importance of information literacy.
 It will also be of good character if I also discuss few of the vital roles that
information literacy has played in an information society
 Think outside of the box about ethics in the information society.
 The word “discuss” means that I really need to talk thoroughly why information
literacy is important in an information society.
 I think it will also be of importance if I include the machines tools of
information society because their also part of information society(ICTs)
 In Order for my reader to understand or to have a clear vision about what i am
on about I need to define my keywords in depth.
 In my essay i am not allowed to copy definitions from my prescribed book or
study guide this means that I will have to access the internet and dictionary to
come up with clear definitions for my key words.
 I am required to come up with one definition relevant to the topic in my own
words in order to do so i will consult different source to come up with 1
meaningful definition.
 I am not allowed to copy the example of a work plan from my study guide this
means that i have to look up to it only to be guided on how to compile a work
plan or to be clear on how to compile a work plan.

I. My assignment headings:
