Walk me through your resume - answer Mention:
Chicago, Loyola, Fordham, involvement on campus, work experiences: rising stars,
baseball coach, current internship roles(business analytics reports, venture capital
team) etc.
Why Asset Management? - answer Talk about analytical side(sports statistics/predictive
sports modeling) and combining it with personable side(working with people, serving a
client)
Why buy side? – answer Tie into research process of predictive sports modeling with
researching markets, stocks, etc. and how the two are linked and similar
Why this firm? - answer Know some themes/culture bits about the firm. Know the
process of growth in the firm from analyst up. Know a recent deal or two they worked on
Pitch a stock(one major one) - answerReally know everything about it. Avoid amazon
Tesla google etc. Do Guardant Health maybe?(early cancer research detection through
blood tests health company)
Pitch a stock(one or two minor ones) - answerKnow a good amount about 2
How would you invest a million dollars - answerTalk about how it depends on the
person investing, stage of life, risk tolerance, etc. For me, probably go 80% stocks, 20%
bonds. Mix in some high growth high risk potential stock, mix in some hedge funds. For
someone in later stages of life, less risk tolerance, retirement maybe on the horizon, a
lot closer to 50/50 between stocks and bonds.
What are your main strengths? - answerTalk about being a self taught learner, having a
competitive side
What are your biggest weaknesses? - answerTalk about my lack of willingness to ask
for help sometimes, with professors and other classmates. Wanting to always do things
on my own without help, but needing to improve on putting my ego aside and being
open to others input and help
Tell me about a time you worked with a twam - answerConsulting Cup, working group of
6 I didn't know that well. Managing dividing responsibilities, being a leader and doing
opening/closing for presentation
