A. Personal Values
Explain your top FOUR personal core values (e.g., accountability, honesty, integrity, respect,
loyalty, fairness, etc.) with detail on "why" they are personally meaningful to you.
1. Integrity is my top core value. Integrity, to me, means doing what is right legally and
morally, even when nobody is watching. It is personally meaningful to me because if a
person acts with integrity in everything they do, you don't have to worry about ethics
being a concern. I try to conduct myself with integrity at all times, both in business
and personal matters.
2. Accountability would be the next most significant core value for me. Personal
accountability allows me to "be my biggest critic" and ensure my self-criticism is
constructive. It is personally meaningful to me because a person can grow beyond
their mistakes through accountability.
3. My third most important value is drive. I believe a person with the right amount of drive
can overcome obstacles placed in front of them with little extra effort. I have felt the
drive to succeed since my underprivileged childhood and have reaped the rewards of
that drive to benefit my entire family, and this is why it will always be personally
meaningful to me.
4. Finally, my fourth most crucial core value is knowledge or wisdom. Falling back on my
Christian upbringing, King Soloman prayed not for wealth but wisdom. Through his
wisdom, he attained great wealth for himself and prosperity for those he ruled over. It is
personally meaningful to me because this trait has always been crucial to leaders for
me.
B. Compare Values
Evaluate EACH of your FOUR core values from Part A "align" or "misalign" to
Alliah's values and social responsibility.
1. My value of integrity seems to misalign with Alliah's opinions as they don't seem to
expect integrity from their employees. This expected lack of integrity is evident in
their lack of trust in the employee's remote work.
2. My value of accountability also seems to misalign with Alliah's. The rigid chain of
command reporting doesn't provide a culture of accountability as it is unidirectional.
By allowing open doors and communication, accountability is almost circular in
keeping everyone accountable, not just people lower in the heirarchy.
