PREVIEW:
OPTION A (Two Options to Choose From)

SECTION A: INTRODUCTION

I have always believed that certain books arrive in our lives exactly when we need them,
and for me, “Man’s Search for Meaning” by Viktor E. Frankl was such a book. I chose to
read this book after hearing a mentor mention how it changed his perspective on suffering
and purpose, and I was curious to understand how someone could find meaning even in
the worst circumstances. As I read about Frankl’s harrowing experiences in Nazi
concentration camps and his psychological insights on finding purpose in suffering, what
intrigued me the most was his belief that life never ceases to have meaning, even in pain
and death. This powerful idea that our attitude towards unavoidable suffering can
transform our experience impacted me deeply, making me realise that despite life’s
hardships, I always have the freedom to choose my response. Reading this book has
inspired me to face my own struggles with greater courage, acceptance, and a renewed
sense of purpose.
