Abstract
Construction professionals pay increasing attention to sustainable pavement solutions because
they strive to diminish sectoral environmental effects. Heat Mix asphalt systems and heat
reflective coatings are reviewed in this paper and applied with recycled materials for
Contemporary sustainable pavement methods. Including recycled concrete aggregates (RCA),
plastics, and tire rubber in sustainable asphalt materials allows for reaching higher standards of
that material, optimizing the amount of virgin material originating from natural resources. WMA
technology considers environmental standards by reducing production temperatures, electricity
consumption, and greenhouse gas emissions. Heat-reflective coatings and urban climate
resistance mitigate the urban heat island phenomenon, including pavements and cool surface
materials. Life Cycle Assessment is the tool for these technologies' environmental effects and
monetary outcomes. The document has three key recommendations: expanded recycled material
use, cool pavement system deployment, and increased Life Cycle Assessment implementation
levels.
