Prospect - ANSWER-One who has been evaluated based on donor research and found
to have a connection to the organization, the ability to give an appropriate level, and an
interest in the organizations mission.

Renewal rate - ANSWER-The percentage of donors who make a subsequent gift to the
organization. Often track to a specific appeal or tracked by giving in general. Often a
reflection of how well the organization thinks it's donors and keeps them informed of
how gifts are used.

Segmentation - ANSWER-The process of ongoing grouping donors and perspective
donors into lot categories in order to more efficiently, allocate resources, and target
appeals. Donor can be segment segment by giving levels, giving history, program
interest, likely response, format, and other groups.

Solicitation history - ANSWER-A record of all donation request made by the
organization, whether they are successful or not. It includes both mass appeals, and in
person asked of any size. Allows the organization to make an informed decision about
resource allocation and subsequent request.

current and previous years
