P2 criteria
Introduction:
In this document, I will be explaining the different between image file and
the impact of each image file type to the size of the images and its
quality. I will also out images to show the difference between each image
type file to show the difference between them.
Image file types:
1. JPEG:
JPEG stand for (joint Photographic Experts Group) that can also be
called JPG. This image file type is the most popular type of image file
that is used in the graphic image development. This file type is a
compress file image that lose some details but the detail that are lose
from the image are not noticeable. JPG support a lot of colours images
which can reach more than 16000 in digital camera as it is the most
popular image file type used in the modern days. The pros and cons of
this file image type are:
Pros:
1. A good control degree of compression that will reduce the file size
further.
2. Small file size.
3. Format can be displaced correctly and in best quality in any
website, display and software.
4. Picture quality is high even with lose detail during the
compression.
Cons:
1. The format does not support transparency.
2. Not suitable for image with text.
3. The further the user compress the file the more of the quality is lost
in the image.
