Preview 4 out of 432 pages

This comprehensive test bank is designed to align with every chapter of Algebra and Trigonometry with Corequisite Support, 5th Edition by Judith A. Beecher. It contains a variety of question formats—including multiple-choice, true/false, matching, fill-in-the-blank, and short-answer items—that correspond directly to the textbook's structure. The content begins with fundamental concepts like real numbers, linear equations and inequalities, and progresses through functions and graphs, polynomial and rational expressions, exponentials and logarithms, and trigonometric functions and identities. It also covers systems of equations, matrices, sequences and series, and introductory conic sections. Each chapter features targeted practice items aimed at reinforcing core skills, supporting diagnostic learning, and preparing students for assessments in standard and co-requisite classroom settings.

I. ALTERNATE TESTS, FORMS A, B, C, D, E, and F .......................................................... 1
There are six alternate test forms for each chapter and the final examination. Alternate Test
Forms A, B, C, and D are equivalent in length and difficulty. Synthesis questions occur at
ST
the end of the Test Forms, and are separated from the rest of the test by a solid line.
Synthesis questions are meant to be more challenging than the previous test questions, like
those problems found in the last part of each exercise set in the text. The synthesis
questions have been placed at the end to make it easy to omit them if the instructor wishes
to do so.
U
Except for proofs of trigonometric identities, questions on Test Forms E and F are multiple
choice. Effort was made to make the wrong answers as logically wrong as possible. In most
VI
cases answers were constructed to avoid students doing backward reasoning.

This Instructor’s Testing Manual is designed to accompany Algebra and Trigonometry, 5e,
and Precalculus, 5e by Beecher/Penna/Bittinger.
