Slide 1: SNHU Pet Supply Company New Management Proposal
Slide #1 Introduction
Hello SNHU Pet Supply Company! First off, I want to thank each and every one of you for
coming and listening to my proposal today. For those of you who don’t know, my name is
Shelby Farris, and I have joined your team as the new manager and also the person that
will be rehabilitating SNHU Pet Supply Company’s culture, and aligning our leadership
structure to best serve the whole of the company.
Slide #2 Who is SNHU Pet Supply Company?
Lets’s start off with our mission statement.
SNHU Pet Supply Company is staffed by a diverse group of people who love and appreciate the
joy and friendship pets bring to our homes. We are a passionate and friendly team that strives
to provide quality, affordable products and services to our customers across the nation. As a
company we pride ourselves in providing our customers the latest developments in medicine,
food, toys, and technology to assist you in bringing the best level of care to your pets; caring
for your pets as if they are our own, since 1984.
Slide #3 The BreakDown
To really understand who we are- we’re going to break this mission statement down into
the two main key components that relate to our work culture.
1. We are a diverse group of people . The key component here is “diversity.”
2. We are a passionate and friendly Team. Key Component is “Team.”
Slide #4 Improving Work Culture
As we just saw in our mission statement, our first key component is Diversity, and our
second one is Team. We have expanded largely as a company over the past 2 years and are
continuing to grow. Growth brings new faces onto the team here at SNHU Pet Supply
Company and sometimes new faces mean new friends. Other times, this can mean culture
barriers and ineffective communication. As a team, we need to ensure that we always have
effective and open communication and collaboration. We must accept the diversity of our
team members. We do not discriminate against people of the LGBTQ community, nor against
people with disabilities, of any race, age, or gender.
Slide #5 ‘Team’ Organizational Structure that reflects Democratic/Participative
Leadership Style
