, Question 1.
1.1 Research Problem Statement
Definition of a Research Problem
A research problem refers to an issue or concern that needs to be addressed through
systematic investigation to improve a situation or generate new knowledge (Creswell &
Creswell, 2018).
Problem Statement
The problem at the information enterprise is the lack of effective information
organization and retrieval systems, which hampers efficient service delivery. This
problem affects information users, including students, researchers, and library staff
who rely on timely and accurate access to information resources. It is a problem
because it leads to delays in accessing crucial information, misplacement of materials,
and dissatisfaction among users. The issue became significant with the increased
digitalisation and high demand for information access in the post-COVID-19 era, when
users expected faster services. The impact on service delivery is evident in reduced
user satisfaction, increased complaints, and underutilisation of information resources. If
not resolved, the problem may escalate, leading to a decline in the enterprise’s
credibility, low usage statistics, and loss of funding or support from stakeholders.
1.2 Research Objectives
Definition of Research Objectives
Research objectives are clear, concise statements that define what the researcher
intends to achieve by the end of the study (Kumar, 2019).
Objectives:
1. To identify the challenges faced by users when accessing information services at
the enterprise.
