will prevent loosening of the pins and pain. Routinely monitor
skin integrity and document. Use heat/massage as prescribed
to treat muscle spasms. Use therapeutic touch and relaxation
techniques.


Dietary for renal failure - ANSWER-It is always important to
assess daily weights, I &O, and ensuring fluid restrictions are
followed in the event that one is in place. Constipation may
also need to be watched for as fluid restriction can increase
this problem. Protein restrictions need to be in place as this will
help slow the progression of the disease, but to little protein
can also decrease the bodies own proteins. Proper balance is
important 0.8-1.0 g/kg/day . Limitations on sodium to decrease
B/P, and potassium to prevent Hyperkalemia.
