D082 Task 2 WGU : Personal Values and
Their Alignment with Alliah Company
D082 Task 2
A. Personal Values
Knowledge is a core value for me because it shows that someone
takes the time and effort to learn about the world around them.
When it comes to working, knowing everything you can about your
job is essential to showing that you care about it. Whenever I don't
understand something, I research everything I can. I am like a dog
with a bone and must get to the bottom of anything I find
incomprehensible. Most of my hobbies involve researching things
that I find interesting, like reptile husbandry, mechanical keyboards,
and cooking.
Fairness is another of my core values. I find many things in the world
unfair, like racism, homophobia, sexism, and classism. Every day, I
educate others and support causes that will help make the world
fairer. I go to many punk shows that advocate and inform the
community on ways to make the world better for everyone. If we
gave everyone similar opportunities and tools for success, our world
would be filled with more innovation and accomplishments.
Integrity is also a value that defines me. Integrity is an integral
quality that someone must possess for me to trust them. I have
integrity in everything I do, even when I need to have an
uncomfortable conversation to stand up for what I believe is right.
When others let things slide and give people a pass, it hurts society.
At work, I always make my values clear and do not let anything
unethical slide, especially when I think it hurts someone vulnerable.
Perseverance is something I value in myself and others. If I give up
on the first try, it shows that I don't have any drive to see things
through. I must do things at home or work to the best of my ability,
even if it's hard. I cannot respect someone who does not strive for
what they want. Perseverance is the value that drives me every day.
B. Compare Values
