CSE - ANSWER-Clinical Simulation Examination - After passing the TMC with a 94 or
higher you're eligible to take the
CSE. Passing this examination will get you professional credentials to become a
Certified Respiratory Therapist.
TMC - ANSWER-Therapist Multiple Choice exam- The TMC Examination evaluates the
abilities required of respiratory therapists at entry into practice and determines eligibility
for the Clinical Simulation Examination (CSE). Two scores Low Cut- 86-93 to get CRT.
94 and above RRT eligible. . If you achieve the low cut score, you will earn the CRT
credential. If you achieve the high cut score, you will earn the CRT credential AND
become eligible for the Clinical Simulation Examination (provided you meet the eligibility
requirements and are eligible to earn the RRT credential).
NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care) - ANSWER-Administers exams to
determine competency. CRT- (Certified Respiratory Therapist) entry-level. RRT
(Registered Respiratory Therapist) advanced level. They provide patient advocacy. This
is to help keep the patient/public safe, to ensure RT's are performing in a professional
and safe manner as to help the patient and not harm them.
