What are the components of a curriculum for a major? - ANS-A curriculum for a major is
comprised of major requirements, general education requirements, required electives,
sometimes a minor/support requirement, and sometimes an emphasis area
In which two ways can a support area requirement be satisfied? - ANS-Management and
marketing majors have a support area in their curriculum; support areas must be completed in
one of two ways—1) a list of courses provided by the major (See Advising Homework
Assignment #2 for a list) or, 2) an approved minor
required electives - ANS-Electives required by your curriculum. Any course that does not fulfill a
major, general education, emphasis or minor/support requirement is considered an elective.
Generally, they are:
-courses of interest to you that are not explicitly required by your curriculum,
