PERSONAL LEADERSHIP EVALUATION
Western Governors University
Gallup Clifton Strengths Assessment
The primary task in this course consisted of gauging my leadership effectiveness. Upon
completing the Gallup Clifton Strength Assessment, I learned that my top five strengths are: Re-
sponsibility, Harmony, Relator, Positivity, and Consistency. Performing this self-assessment al-
lowed me to reflect on my behaviors around leadership.
A. Leadership Analysis
My first strength is Responsibility. I would describe this strength as taking accountability
and seeing anything you do through to the end. For example, when I set goals to pay my credit
cards down to zero. I take careful steps, one of which consists of putting my credit cards "away,"
so that I do not spend. I also use a spreadsheet that helps me stick to a budget and keep track of
all my payments so that I am aware of the balance on all accounts and how my "pay down"
progress is going. This is a strength because it allows me to save money, to be able to support my
family, as well as maintain an excellent credit score to one day become a homeowner.
My next strength is Harmony. I would describe this strength with the saying "can't we all
just get along." For example, my two best friends who have known each other for over 20 plus
stopped speaking to each other, which could have easily been avoided with a calm conversation.
, I tried to bring my two friends back together by bringing up the great times we had together
when we would go dancing and some other fun memories. This is a strength because it allows
me to help people to focus on moving forward and possibly coming together or just simply living
in peace.
