🎯 Objectives:
Identify what is and isn't primary literature.
Explain where and how primary literature can be found.
Be able to recognize the different parts of a formatted citation.
State the typical sections of a scientific paper and what information
can be found in each section.

Primary Literature
Literature is primary if:
It is peer-reviewed from other experts in the field.
Attempts to identify and resolve and conflicts of interest.
Attempts to uphold rigorous standards for scientific investigation and
reporting.
Found in scientific journals.
Access primary literature through Google Scholar (check that it isn’t a PDF or
book section; that it is peer-reviewed from a scientific journal) or UNB
Libraries> databases> scopus (there are others):
