If you suspect that the patient might have some erosions or ulcerations...
the patient might have a herpes simplex virus infection and perhaps we want to do
a viral culture.

that's being expressed and we may have to have allergy testing for a patient.

what the treatment has been, what have they done to it, or what have other
providers suggested for it?the vulva is skin, so it can manifest other organ systems
Expression of tuberculosis or Crohn's disease or even endometriosis
can be a vulvar disorder
Vulvar psoriasis
Red moist lesions, sometimes scaly. may also be found on the scalp, axilla, groin
and trunk.(typical psoriatic lesions elsewhere on the body, or maybe not)
, When the labia minora fuse together. This can occur to newborns, infants, but
could also occur in our older population. Anyone can get a labial adhesion for
different reasons. It's very, very common

gentle traction on the area or recommend applications of local estrogen cream applied

Over a few weeks, we can get the labia to release and to open up with vasoline or a
little bleeding can occur with estrogen cream: For ten days to two weeks
If the area is inflamed, like typically in your older patients with labial adhesions,
we use
a steroid cream as well as the estrogen cream. Sometimes it takes several weeks to
see an improvement
Because baby labial adhesions can come back.....
See these babies at their 2 month, 4 month, 9 month visit that we inspect the labia and
make sure that they're not growing back together. HINT: (2 labias) checked (for4)
