Biphasics - ANSWER - Typically two different doses within the month

- Patch free week
- Menses typically occur then
- The patch is identical to the contraindications and the SE for oral contraceptives


Ring - ANSWER - Plastic ring, inserted by pt
- Left in vagina for 3 weeks, discarged
- contains 4 wks of hormone
- "Nocebo" effect
