What is the sixth link of the Chain of Survival (adult and pediatric)? (AHA) -

Recovery. Initiated during hospitalization, lasts as long as necessary to ensure a return to
optimal physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being.

Less than 1 year of age (excluding newly born infants in the delivery room)



What qualifies as high-quality CPR? (6 points) -

(1) Start compressions within 10 seconds of recognition of cardiac arrest. (2) Push hard and
fast 100-120 compressions per minute. (3) Allow complete chest recoil. (4) Minimize interruptions in
chest compressions, limiting interruptions to less than 10 seconds. (5) Give effective breaths that
make the chest rise. (6) Avoid excessive ventilation.



Compression depth for adults -

2 inches (5 cm), maximum of 2.4 inches



Compression depth for children -

At least 1/3 of chest depth. About 2 inches or 5 cm
