Explain and justify chosen components of the session…
I have ended up getting young adults (age group 18-19). The amount of physical activity that
teenagers must do by NHS recommendations is that teenagers must be doing physical
activity at least 1 hour every day or at least 3 times a week. To maintain and have a healthy
lifestyle and wellbeing. Which delivering a sports session for the teenager will cover one of
their days that they are going to take part.
Induction:
The induction is a really important part of the beginning session as this one allows you to
cover very important areas such as health and safety! Which will prevent any further
escalation for example if jewellery’s and badges are taken away there is no risk of getting
any injures if doing contact sport and prevent things like ear’s ripped as they don’t get a
count on anything. Also, health area if anyone has asthma for example if I didn’t ask anyone
about it and let them do sport without an inhaler and then they end up getting out of breath
and getting asthma attack I can’t help them nor can they as they have no inhaler which can
lead to further problems. This is why you need an induction as it covers little bits and very
important parts that can prevent things within seconds this why you should have an
induction before the session because it can prevent risks and hazards from happening when
doing you’re planed session.
Warm-up:
The reason for making them play the game between each other is that it gives me the
chance straight away to observe them, to see how they deal with one and another and
assessing them as it will show their starting points, which allows me to see at what level
they are currently at. I will have the chance to see how they perform on their skills and
techniques within the game and overall performance. So when I deliver the skill
development (drills) part I will know what the participants need to improve on. As I already
have seen their gameplay.
The game at the start was a good warm-up as it was getting harder throughout the game as
the intensity was getting harder as the body is preparing for the main exercise that is
coming up, as the warm-up resulted in increasing heart rate which allows the blood
circulation around the body to increase. Which means that the oxygen can get to the
muscles faster which allows the body to get energy faster as circulations are increased so
when the blood travels faster so do oxygen. Which is why I have done a warm-up so that
when they do their main game they will not get out breath quickly as their body will be used
to it as the heart rate is increased.
Another reason a warm-up is that it helps to loosen joints and stretch the muscles which
means that when they are put under a lot of pressure in the main game they will be able to
