1. INTRODUCTION (10 points)
1.1 In this experiment, the conservation of angular momentum was demonstrated
by employing air-mounted disks to quantify angular acceleration. The
comparison between initial and final angular momentum provided insights
into the preservation of this fundamental physical quantity.
Subsequently, a parallel examination was conducted on the conservation of
rotational kinetic energy, revealing its non-conservation in inelastic
collisions.
1.2 In our experimental endeavors, we aim to explore both translational and
rotational motion, seeking to establish relationships through specific
equations and variables like R (radius). The principle of conservation of
angular momentum asserts that in the absence of external torque, the
angular momentum of a system remains constant.
