Compare the purposes of the different documents used in the selection and
recruitment process of a given organisation.

In this assignment I am going to compare the purposes of the different
documents used in the selection and recruitment process of a given
organisation.

There are three stages in the selection process; the advertising process for the
vacancy, the selection process and the intervieuw process.

The advertising process is the process in which the company advertises the
vacancy trough internal or external sources. Different types of documentation
are used in this process.

The first document is the; Job Description. In this document the open vacancy
is described. You will find different information like; title of the job, the
demanded education and qualification, responsibilities and information about
employer. The purpose for this document is to give the candidate an image of
the job. The company tries to inform an interested candidate about what they
need to qualify for the job and what the work will be like if they get the job.

The second document which is used during the first selection process is the;
Person Specification. In this document the company describes what kind of
person they are looking for. In this document you will find different types of
information about; the personal qualities the candidate needs for the job,
educational demands from the company and working experience. The purpose
for this documentation is to describe the person the company is looking for,
but it will also help possible candidates to find out whether they are qualified
for the job.

The second process in the selection and recruitment process is the selection
process. The documentation used in this process are the; Application letter and
the CV.

The first document used is the application letter. In this document the
applicant describes themselves they also; tell why they want the job, their
experience, hobbies and why they are the candidate the company is looking
for. The purpose of this documentation for the company is to collect all
