TDCJ EXAM TWO FACILITIES' QUESTIONS

Security Level 2 offenders - ANSWER G1/G2, Substance Abuse Felony
Punishment Facility (SAFPF) offenders
Security Level 3 offenders - ANSWER G1/G2/G3 and selective more restrictive
custody offenders. Any sentence length is permitted.
Security Level 4 offenders - ANSWER G1-G4 housed in cells/dormitories.
Security Level 5 offenders - ANSWER G1-G5
Security level 1 - ANSWER G1 and Outside Trusty (OT) offenders
Level 1 facilities/sentences - ANSWER work camps, trusty camps; no fence,
with periodic unarmed supervision; perimeter pickets and/or roving patrol
Level 2 facilities/sentences - ANSWER cells, dorms with direct armed
supervision outside fence but indirect while inside; less than 50 years; basic
security but with either pickets or roving guards
Level 3 facilities - ANSWER cells, dorms with direct armed sup. outside and
indirect inside; any sentence length; basic security with possible video and
electronic fence
Level 4 facilities - ANSWER cells, dorms with full security with roving guards
and double fence
Level 5 facilities - ANSWER cell block, dorm and cellblock housing (must be
designed for G5 offenders) with full security with roving guards and double
fence; direct armed sup outside and indirect sup inside
Administrative facilities - ANSWER accommodates all types of offenders with
any sentence length; the mission is intake and special needs
