“ Rest & Digest”
- normal physiology of digestion.
● Increases stomach acid,
● releases digestive enzymes
● and bile to stimulus intestinal movement
● In the small intestine, stress decreases saliva, can cause heartburn, and loose stools. It
inhibits the normal contraction of organs. It would serve for normal digestion to do rest &
digest. Take a few deep breaths before a meal, practicing slow deep belly breathing,it
improves digestion. Chewing the food until it liquifies for easy swallowing, it also gives
time for the organs/systems to be prepared. Lastly, saying words of gratitude before a
mood because it begins a moment of focus to prepare for consumption. Mindset during
consumption controls digestion.
