Types of burn injuries: Right Ans - -thermal: flame, scald, steam

Superficial first degree burn signs Right Ans - dry with no blisters, red
color
Partial thickness second degree burn signs Right Ans - mottled red, blisters
with weeping
Full thickness third degree burns Right Ans - pearly white and or charred,
translucent and parchment like, dry with thrombosed blood vessels
Flash over Right Ans - sudden explosion into flame of everything in the
room, with the temperature rising instantaneously to over 2000c
Burn process must be halted immediately; this is best done with - Right
Ans - quick irrigation of room temperature tap water.
What is early burn deaths usually caused from? Right Ans - airway
compromise, smoke inhalation, or associated trauma.
How long should you cool for? Right Ans - only a minute or two, longer
periods can lead to hypothermia and subsequent shock

affected because of efficient cooling by moist mucous membranes.

cells of the body.
