40 page document with simplified notes on Hitler. A level information to help you pass your finals. Adolf Hitler's rise to power began in Germany in September 1919 when Hitler joined the political party then known as the Deutsche Arbeiterpartei – DAP. The name was changed in 1920 to the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei – NSDAP.SA, abbreviation of Sturmabteilung (German: “Assault Division”), byname Storm Troopers or Brownshirts, German Sturmtruppen or Braunhemden, in the German Nazi Party, a paramilitary organization whose methods of violent intimidation played a key role in Adolf Hitler's rise to power. The propaganda used by the German Nazi Party in the years leading up to and during Adolf Hitler's leadership of Germany was a crucial instrument for acquiring and maintaining power, and for the implementation of Nazi policies. The Weimar Republic is an unofficial historical designation for the German state from 1918 to 1933. The name derives from the city of Weimar, where its constitutional assembly first took place. The official name of the republic remained Deutsches Reich unchanged from 1871, because of the German tradition of substate.

The Rise of Hitler

http://www.open.edu/openlearn/history-the-arts/history/hitlers-rise-and-fall-timeline

How was Germany affected by the depression?
-The effects of the slump were widespread. Many farmers had already been hit with high-
interest rates and falling agricultural prices
-By 1932 there were 6 million unemployed
-Industrial production fell 70% in 1932 compared to 1927
-Due to global protectionism, imports and exports fell dramatically, which prevented
German businesses from trading, leading to a mass loss in jobs, significant drops in salaries,
and less government income to spend on rebuilding the nation
-Under the Weimar Republic, many believed business would re-stabilise by itself, however,
this was not the case as the depression wounded Germany even further than predicted
-Many began to feel resentment towards the government, as their savings became
worthless and income became worthless, making them feel unwanted and rejected
-Those who managed to keep their jobs had their wages reduced, and lived in fear of losing
their jobs
-By 1932, 18,000 farmers had gone bankrupt
-By 1932, 50,000 businesses had gone bankrupt
-No government was prepared to intervene in any major way to reflate the economy

Currently selling all of my A level notes for CIE (International Cambridge Examinations)

Arguably the most difficult exam board, CIE is a struggle for even the best of us. My teachers predicted I would get C\'s and D\'s in my A levels, which pushed me to find new ways to study and write up my notes. I ended up getting all A\'s and going to my university of choice (Uni of Bath): who had previously denied my entry based on my previous grades. I want to share my work with others because I know for a fact It can help others achieve the same :)
