, Introduction-
Work experience involves a student going on a short-term placement with an employer and
taking part in the job role as well as observing their employer. This can be done for a certain
amount of time; usually 10-20 hours of work experience needs to be completed. Work
experience allows an individual to gain new skills and develop on their skills. Work
experience can be done by shadowing the manager, working with other employees and
visiting different placements. Work experience can be done virtually as well as in person and
can include volunteering or working your part time job.

The first work placement I found was on indeed and it was for a spa receptionist at CV life.
The responsibilities that come with this work placement include, to carry out a range of
tasks at the company's sites, to interact positively with all customers, to comply with
general data protection regulations and to keep up with the company's key values. CV life is
a partnership working between two organisations; culture Coventry trust and Coventry
sports foundation. This work experience can help me prepare for the future workplace as it
provides all the key skills you need to be successful in any workplace such as organisational
skills, customer care skills, IT skills, decision making, communication skills and team player
skills.
