Vector – a physical quantity which has magnitude and direction
Scalar – a physical quantity which has only magnitude
Resultant vector – a single vector that has the same effect as the original
vectors acting together
Displacement – the change in position of a body
Vectors that act in the same direction carry the same sign
Vectors that act in opposite directions carry opposite signs
The resultant vector is found from the sum of the individual vectors
