Appeal play - before next pitch, intentional walk, defensive play or attempted defensive play, fielders have all left fair territory, and umpires leave the field of play. 1. Live ball: Tag runner or missed base. 2. Dead ball: Coach or any defensive player by verbally stating that runner missed base.
