1. When does a temporary license expire? A: The 60th day after the date the license is issued. It is not renewable. 2. When does a private, public, or secondary school's license expire? A: 1 year from when the license was issued. 3. When can the department enter a spa & inspect it? A: Any time during business hours. 4. What types of sanitizers are barber shops, schools, beauty shops, specialty shops, or other licensed faculty responsible to have? A: 1) Autoclave, 2) A dry heat, 3) Ultraviolet sanitizer. 5. What type of salon does not require a new license that meets the requirements outlined in this chapter if they relocate? A: Mobile shops only. 6. If an establishment changes ownership the new owner must apply for establishment license within how many days after the change of ownership? A: 30 days. 7. A specialty esthetician license is good for how many years? A: 2 years. 8. How many times must a beauty salon, specialty salon, dual shop, mini salon or mini dual shop be inspected? A: At least once every 2 years.
