How did deregulation affect the airline industry? - Airlines were free to move towards more profitable markets and routes and created a more hub and spoke like model which they took from the deregulation of Cargo model. What act created the FAA? - The Federal Aviation Act of 1958 created the FAA. Characterized by the Jet Age. Renamed in 1966. What event resulted in the creation of the TSA? - 9/11 What is the significance of the Airport and Airways Development Act of 1970? - Creates the Airport Development Aid Program and the Planning Grant Program and expands the list of eligible projects.
